On the evening of Wednesday August 19th, Zane van Hoek produced a television pilot shoot at his property, inviting the resident of Lake Waseosa to the taping, featuring some great Canadian musicians.

"At this point all LPAT proceedings have been suspended until June 30 – and I don’t know what the rescheduling backlog will look like, if they intend to bump the cases scheduled after that too. "
So everything is on hold pending resolution of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Members will recall that the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry conducted a fish netting survey in August 2015, to evaluate the state of our fish populations. We published a brief initial summary of their findings last fall, in advance of their final report. The full report has now been produced, and is attached.
In August, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) conducted fish-netting tests in Waseosa. Their report is not expected to be available until mid-winter, however the MNRF has given us a brief summary of their results.
An updated and more precise depth map was created for the lake, and temperature and oxygen profiles were collected to compare to historic data and provide context for the netting results.

Apparently some people believe there is a public boat launch in Camp Huronda and "Cottage Dreams", a cottage rental agency has been telling renters they can use Huronda's boat launch.

Update: We have received approval from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and a permit from the Ministry of Natural Resources to proceed with the in-water phase. This follows the previous MNR approval of the signage and on-shore replanting phase.
